This 99tools exclusive is all about creating an extra $150 (or more) sale each day , or each week, or a few times a month.  It’s a cool little tactic that a person could use as the core of their retailing efforts, or it’s very effective to fill in their calendar with income producing activities that repeat at consistent intervals! How cool is that?  It’s a great adjunct to booking efforts that revolve around their other “main” events like parties, etc.   This is an excellent idea… Paid members, read on… {+}

1 – 2 – 3

This came up during a marathon phone call with Nora in April, ’09.  (we’ve had a few of those… we got the answers for world peace if you just give us long enough to talk about it! LOL)….

So just know, you heard it here first!  Anyway… without going into where this all started (again, it was one of our marathons.. lol) … this is what it morphed into:

ONCE every TWO months, if you get at least THREE gals together (including yourself), when each of you places at least a $50 order, each of you can take an additional item for half price.   The half price item can be a regular item, special item, or a collection that is on special.

This is designed to be a quick little 20-60 minute get together that could be done in a variety of venues:

Starbucks
Office at lunch time
Happy Hours
Neighborhood
After work
Etc Etc

The idea is that it’s not a “full blown party”… but it will give you an opportunity to serve 3 clients quickly.

Most of us in the skin care world are making 50%.. so by doing this, we’re scoring a minimum of a $150 commissionable order quickly.

For those of us working in companies that offer regular specials (Jafra has a special book every two months)… we can focus on bringing the specials of the month to the 1-2-3 gig.  Many companies offer monthly specials.. so you could  adapt this idea to be ONCE a month, you get TWO or more clients together, and when all THREE of you place an order of….   yada yada yada.  You get the idea.

Take this idea and optimize it for your company, your commission structure, your goals, etc.    Next month, for example, Jafra is giving away a men’s fragrance with the purchase of a men’s skin care set… so it’s up to a $90 value for $45 (which is commissionable to us).   So for me to work the 1-2-3, I can offer the client the ability to get $140 worth of product for 72.50.   I still earn $25 on each order.  This would be a minimum of a quick $75 commission for showing up for a small office lunch hour, for example.

I’m just saying this as an example so you can take the above tactic and tweak it to work for whatever it is you have to offer.  Optimize it.

I encourage you to add to this thread and explain how this could work for you.

On my MONSTER list of things to do is “Make a 1-2-3 trifold brochure” in PDF form.  I’m going to try to make 2 – one specifically that will work with my company… and a generic one that anyone here could use for their business.

I’m open to any and all feedback on this…   the more ideas, the merrier….

    Hmmmmmmmmmm….. thinking of adding that I’d buy lunch …. might have to tweak the concept a little to make it work, but it’s got merit, IMO.
