Until someone else tells me that they have been doing this technique before 1977, I’m taking credit for it.  :)   So this is another 99tools exclusive because I have a better story to tell than most.  LOL!

This post is geared towards all of you that do parties or are promoting your business through the Private Business Reception methods.   Basically, it’s great for anyone that is partnering with hostesses/hosts to get people in attendance to a “party”.

The power of this technique is that you’re probably only investing an extra 20-30 minutes, total, into doubling or tripling the size of your group at your party.

Now think about this… you already booked yourself out for the time slot … so now, do you want to have 7 people there (hopefully) or 21?  or possibly 30?  This, to me, is a no-brainer.    Here’s how to do it… {+} more…

Yep.  Here we go again.

Anyone that has known me for any length of time knows the story of how a friend in Minnesota encouraged me to jump into MySpace 3 years ago when I was stuck home with the grandbabe during 6 weeks of snowstorms.  The results from spending time cultivating a list there were outstanding.  I’ll go into this more in the Community Forum… so click your way into there and we can tear into the subject more fully.
What I will tell you is that I fired up an awesome program, EasyAdder, again late this afternoon.  I sent out 240 friend requests FOR MY AREA (this is the good thing about MySpace) and here we are… 3 hours later… and I’ve got 10 new friends on my account and a couple are very exciting so far.  The first one is a massage therapist (I’ve got a bunch of partnering ideas to do with her – and she seems really cool)… and then I had an inquiry back from a Miss Colorado contestant.

Not bad for the first evening.

The last time I went on a MySpace Bash.. I netted $3,500 in a month on the second month into the efforts.  I’d be thrilled with 1/2 that this time… and so far, it’s looking good.

So I’m headed to the forum to get a discussion going on this topic.  Join me in there!

OK, this is a no-brainer… but very few salespeople do it!

When you’re closing out your current business with your client, customer or hostess… how often do you think to ask for the next appointment or booking from them?  They love your stuff.  They love you.  They should want more of both!

For the party plan people… it’s as easy as plugging them into your hostess plan to be a booking so they can count themselves for any appropriate booking credits!   (again, this is a no-brainer).

You know you’re old when……

The story you’re wanting to repeat can’t be found in Google!  he he heee…

Seriously, the story about the Telephone Booth Dime is one that I was told at a sales seminar back in the late 70′s.  That’s back when telephone booths really existed everywhere … and they truly did cost a dime.

The story went something like this….

A University Psychology department’s students ran a test.  The object of the test was to see if “totally unrelated” events trigger a different response in human behavior.
