Buttons and a purse

I just wanted to share with everyone something interesting that has happened over the past week.

I have a uniquely colored purse to which I have attatched the buttons; "I Spa America" and "I Love BC".
Without thinking I set my purse on the counter at the Verizon store, the gal asked me about the buttons........I have me a lunch date.
I went to the tanning salon.......I now have a "office spa" set up.
I was in a very small local nursery in my gardening clothes on Saturday, I sold 3 of our Show of Hands.
I then had to meet mom to hand off the grand-daughter, was talking to a gentleman and his woman friend about their cute, new bull dog puppy in the parking lot of a convience/gas store.......I have a follow up with her for a spa!

So if you have some buttons from your company or can barter with someone to make you some and attatch them to your purse, your jacket, etc. believe me, someone will ask about them!!

I have two buttons (Cancun & Mercedes) on one handle of my leather tote/purse... and on the other end of that handle (so same side of purse) I have a rhinestoney "Jafra" pin.

I got a nice order a few nights ago because of the pins... but darn, woman.. you leave me in the dirt with how much you get done! LOL  (love ya!)

Have you seen "Ugly Betty" (the TV show?)  ... the whacko sister on that show sells some herbal product (meant to be a spoof on Herbal Life, obviously) and she always has a big button on.  That was first season.. until her company went under because they sent out bad product to customers.  LOL

Anyway... call me "chicken"... but that is why I only have the buttons on one side of my purse.. if I'm in a situation where I don't want to come off as Ugly Betty's dingbat sister.. I just flip my bag around.  lol

So, Nora, you got all that business just from people noticing the buttons?  You never had to initiate a conversation about BC?

Nope, the button that says "I Love BC" I think is the one that makes them go "huh?".
They ask me about the buttons which just leads into the "spiel" I will give them.
For example at the nursery when they asked I just explained that it is BC and that we have this awesome hand stuff that is great for us ladies that work in the garden.  Of course they wanted to know more and so I told them.  Basically just giving enough information that pertains to the immediate circumstances, then if they ask more questions I will give them the full "spiel".

I have a gal at the grocery store that knows what I do, but she asked what was "I love BC" and being a smart butt I said it means "before children".

Me and the little red head have Ugly Betty party night every Thursday that she is on.
Hilda is something else.     You got to give her credit for "working it" though.
